The rate of forest degradation and deforestation in Nigeria has been increasing over the years and is prominent in the southwestern parts. Despite the significant change and degradation observed in a lowland rainforest in the region—Ogbese Forest Reserve, there is a great dearth of information about the level of forest cover change. Therefore, this study determined the cover dynamics of the rainforest reserve over the epoch of 20 years using Geographic Information System and remote sensing techniques. Coordinates of the boundary and some other benchmark places within the forest reserve were obtained............
When using the dynamic approach to recover the time‐variable gravity field, the reference orbit generated by the perturbation model and the non‐conservative force observed from the accelerometer should be introduced at first, and then the observation equations of the residual orbit and the residual range rate are established. This introduces a perturbation model error and instrument noise. Thus, there are low‐frequency errors in the residual orbit and the residual range rate. Currently, most studies only focus on the low‐frequency error of the residual range rate, neglecting the influence of the low‐frequency error in the residual orbit.........
Sensing navigational environment represented by navigation marks is an important task for unmanned ships and intelligent navigation systems, and the sensing can be performed by recognizing the images from a camera. In order to improve the image recognition accuracy, this paper combined a contour accentuation algorithm into a multiple scale attention mechanism-based classification model for navigation marks............
Challenges in interference-limited satellite detection arising from the low-earth orbit (LEO) and the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) frequency bands are addressed. In particular, a novel signal presence detector based on cyclostationary signal properties is proposed and analyzed for a low signal-to-noise-plus-interference ratio (SINR) regime. The performance of the proposed detector, which is applicable to various small-satellite scenarios, is evaluated on both simulated and real-world measurement data..............
The navigation accuracy of laser strap-down inertial navigation products declines with gyro dither, which is a bottleneck problem for the development of the important aviation instrument. The reason is that the dither of three gyros in the product couples and generates extra noise in the output signals of gyros. To decouple dither, this paper applies the vibration absorber in laser inertial navigation products. First of all, an angular vibration model of the three-rigid body system, which is constructed by the gyro, platform, and vibration absorber, is established. Then, the theoretical restriction of the absorber and the system response are derived. Finally, considering the power limitation for dither, the total power of the vibration system is analyzed.................
